Conference center
The conference will be held at the Université de Nice, at the Valrose campus, in the city center of Nice (South of France, Mediterranean Coast). Presentations will take place in a beautiful old and renovated theater. It is organized under the supervision of Institut Sophia Agrobiotech (ISA), hence this year’s emphasis on biological control and chemical ecology. The INRA (National Institute for Research in Agronomy) Environment and Agronomy division is particularly implicated.
Research at ISA focuses on the study of plant-interactions, pathogens and symbionts and their dynamics in time and space. It aims to understand plant responses to biotic stresses, pathogenicity linked with pest specificity, or determinants of sucesses/failures of invasive populations, with the ultimate goal of crop protection and sustainable agriculture.
Researchers are also implicated in education and teaching at the Université Nice Sophia Antipolis, and the Institut Sophia Agrobiotech hosts the new International MSc BOOST (Biocontrol Solution for Plant Health).
